On-Line Interop Testing Tools

Before getting to Vienna for the Interop test, there're a couple of things that we SHOULD do in advance.

• Read (and convince yourself that your implementation is up-to-date with the latest version of the official specifications of jitter, packetbb, timetlv, nhdp and OLSRv2.
• Verify that your implementation of packetbb correctly generates and parses packets, messages, tlv-blocks and address blocks. To that end, Ulrich Herberg has developed two on-line tools (as Java applets):
  • Packetbb parsing applet, which takes a hex dump of a packetbb packet and returns a human-readable textual description;
  • Packetbb packet generation applet, which allows point-and-click construction of legal packetbb packets and returns a hex dump hereof.
  These applets are simply a web- and human-oriented interface towards the real packetbb code in jOLSRv2.

A couple of items, useful for the on-site Interop testing:

• Slides outlining the interop testing procedures
• TCPdump of various packetbb packets.
• Interoperability Matrix.
• A .txt-file containing graphical/human-readable set of packets, as well as a hexdump for feeding to a packetbb-parser.
